Really sad it took til 3.0 to get it but at least it’s coming. With this release we are getting Cut, Copy, and Paste. MMS (not going to be available for 1st get phones.) Send multiple pictures in your messages now and also forward and manage messages better. Also to come is landscape mode for every app that comes with that iPhone (3rd party if they choose to use it.) that means text messaging, emails and everything else can use the landscape keyboard.

Apple now has push notification so that means you don’t have to have your applications running to get notified, so for example Meebo will now come standard with the iPhone and will have push notification so you don’t have to have it open to get notified you have a new message. You will get a little badge showing you how many messages you have without even opening it up.

Spotlight for the iphone, with it’s own page like the apps have, you flick to the left and you now have a search field that will allow you to search your phone for Music, Apps, Messages and much more.

So for those of you who have to have MMS you better get ready to upgrade to the 3g iphone. Yes I know this is some bs but really, if you love technology you have to be ready to spend the cash for it to stay up to date.

Over all I’m excited for the new release and it should be out this summer so hopefully it’s not to long of a wait.

It’s been confirmed that in version 3.0 the update will have copy and paste! Amazing, it only took them til 3.0 to get it right. I almost got rid of my iPhone so many times just because of that reason. What company builds a phone with out common since functions such as copy and paste. I could go without having an advanced calculator or even go without stocks app but copy and paste not to mention Multimedia messaging. No word on mms as of yet but they are saying that all the features provided on the Palm Pre, the iPhone will now match. I highly doubt they will be having mms which is completely retarded being that not everyone owns a iPhone so not everyone can email their photos. But I’m sure by 2010 they may pull their heads out of their ass and get mms.
